An innovative startup in Mthatha, Eastern Cape is hiring a Digital Marketing Specialist to create content that engages audiences and drives awareness. You will write blog articles, produce video scripts, design infographics, and create downloadable resources like e-books. A strong content portfolio and adaptable writing style are required.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute events including product launches, trade shows, conferences, and experiential marketing activations.
- Collaborate with sales, product development, and internal teams to ensure alignment between marketing activities and business objectives.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on marketing campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, providing actionable optimisation recommendations.
- Manage the marketing budget effectively, tracking expenditure and ensuring return on marketing investment is measured and maximised.
- Manage brand identity and ensure consistency of messaging, visual presentation, and tone of voice across all communication materials.
Requirements
- A minimum of two to four years of marketing experience, either agency-side or client-side, with a proven track record of campaign success.
- Proficiency in marketing and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, and Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- For management roles, experience leading a team and managing external agencies, freelancers, and marketing budgets.
- Excellent copywriting and communication skills with the ability to create persuasive and engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Creativity and a passion for storytelling with ability to generate fresh ideas and innovative approaches to marketing challenges.
