About the RoleOur client is seeking a skilled Robotics Software Engineer to join their innovative team focusing on AI & Emerging Technologies in Upington, Northern Cape .
This role involves developing software for advanced robotic systems, integrating AI algorithms, and ensuring seamless operation of autonomous or semi-autonomous machines.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement software for robotic systems, including control systems, navigation, and perception.
Integrate AI and machine learning algorithms into robotic platforms for enhanced autonomy and decision-making.
Develop and maintain simulation environments for testing and validation of robotic software.
Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure optimal integration of software and hardware components.
Debug and troubleshoot complex software issues in real-time robotic applications.
Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in robotics software development.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python.
Experience with robotics frameworks like ROS (Robot Operating System).
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts relevant to robotics, such as path planning, computer vision, or reinforcement learning.
Experience with control systems and embedded systems development.
