Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all aspects of the kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
Develop and execute innovative, seasonally driven menus that align with the gastropub concept.
Source high-quality ingredients from local suppliers, managing inventory and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Recruit, train, mentor, and manage the kitchen staff to foster a high-performance team.
Maintain rigorous standards of food safety, sanitation, and workplace hygiene (HACCP compliant).
Control food costs and labor costs effectively to achieve profitability targets.
Collaborate with the management team on menu pricing, promotions, and overall business strategy.
Ensure consistency and quality across all dishes served.
Manage kitchen equipment maintenance and ensure a safe working environment.
Foster a positive and creative work atmosphere within the kitchen brigade.
Requirements A formal culinary qualification or extensive proven experience in a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef role.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in professional kitchen environments, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
Demonstrated experience in menu development, cost control, and staff management.
Passion for creating delicious, high-quality pub-style and gastropub cuisine.
Strong understanding of food safety standards and best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
