Construction Supervisor / Finishing Foreman | Building Construction

A reputable construction company is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor / Finishing Foreman to join its project team in the Greater Cape Town CBD . This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction professional with a strong background in the finishing phases of large-scale multi-storey residential developments .

The successful candidate will oversee all finishing activities, ensuring work is completed safely, to the highest quality standards, and within programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all finishing trades on site.
• Manage day-to-day site activities during the finishing phase of construction.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and programme requirements.
• Coordinate subcontractors and monitor productivity.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure all finishes meet required standards.
• Identify and resolve site-related issues efficiently.
• Monitor health and safety compliance across all finishing activities.
• Liaise with site management, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Assist with snagging, handover inspections, and close-out of defects.
• Ensure materials, labour, and equipment are effectively coordinated.
• Maintain accurate site records and progress reports.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5–10 years' experience in building construction.
• Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor , Finishing Foreman , or similar role.
• Strong experience on multi-storey residential construction projects .
• Extensive knowledge of building finishes, quality control, and construction sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills.

Position Details

• Location: Greater Cape Town CBD
• Position Type: Project-based contract
• Contract Duration: Until project completion (anticipated end of 2026)
• Start Date: As soon as possible
