PURPOSE OF POSITION
To provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation services during night-time operations in
support of the hospital's activities, while ensuring the company vehicle is maintained in a clean,
safe, and roadworthy condition.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Safely transport staff, patients, documents, stock, and materials to designated locations during night-time operations.
- Load and offload goods and equipment as required.
- Plan and follow efficient travel routes using navigation systems.
- Ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and well-maintained through regular inspections and servicing.
- Monitor fuel levels and arrange refueling when necessary.
- Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks and trip records.
- Report accidents, vehicle damage, traffic violations, and maintenance issues promptly.
- Comply with all road traffic legislation, safety standards, and company policies.
- Drive courteously and professionally while maintaining a safe driving record.
- Support after-hours hospital operations through the reliable transportation of staff, patients, and hospital assets.
- Ensure the security and safe handling of transported items during night-time travel.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.
- Valid Driver's Licence with a valid PDP.
- Willingness and ability to work at night.
