About the RoleOur client is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join their established, fully remote team.
This role is instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud-based infrastructure on leading platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
You will be responsible for ensuring the scalability, reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness of our cloud environments.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in cloud architecture, automation, and infrastructure-as-code, along with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a distributed work environment.
This is a pivotal position for an experienced professional looking to leverage their expertise in a remote-first setting and contribute to the company's cloud strategy and operational excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and manage scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure.
Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated application and infrastructure deployments.
Ensure the security of cloud environments by implementing best practices, access controls, and monitoring solutions.
Monitor cloud resource utilization, performance, and costs, identifying opportunities for optimization.
Automate operational tasks and processes using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and improve system performance.
Participate in on-call rotation for critical cloud infrastructure incidents.
Stay current with cloud technologies and best practices, evaluating new services and tools.
Document cloud architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
RequirementsProven experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role, with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancing) in a cloud context.
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Strong communication skills and experience working effectively in a remote team environment.
Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate) are a significant plus.
