This is steady, physical warehouse work at an online grocery fulfilment hub in Paarl, and nobody minds if it's your first job. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.
Home base is an online grocery fulfilment hub on the Paarl side of Western Cape. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.
What your day looks like
- Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
- Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
- Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
- Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
- Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
Must-haves
- Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
- South African ID or a valid work permit
- Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
- You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
- Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
- Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
Helpful, not essential
- Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse
- Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner
